we went to shoot this pic but within a few minutes the place got very crowded with kids from around the area.. there had to be around 40 people going back and forth on this little loading dock. We stopped skating and starting shooting these guys instead :P

so I was at a bar last night and somehow the conversation turned to bending spoons. The people I was with kept making a big deal about it how you had to hold it a certain way.. "heat" the area you're trying to bend, concentrate on mind over matter, etc. but I disagreed..

This is the first spoon I've ever bent like this but I have a feeling I may be doing it more often. It's quite a nice party trick. :)

Did a little skating for a tv show.. me and some friends played BG extras and they closed a skate park for us.

did a little painting..

got some of my characters a little PR.. as well as my hacienda gear.

and laughed pretty hard when dates got "nexted".. good times all around. The show aired Jan. 3rd.. I haven't seen it though. :(

The Natural History Museum blew my mind. Central park is HUGE.. skyscrapers make for nice shade, bars are extremely expensive, the village is young and cool, subway bands are incredible, pizza spots are amazing, and cab drivers are insane, beautiful women with class everywhere, crazy gnarly people here and there, always something to do.

i wish I knew the subways better.. got lost for hours last night!

feeling like i hacked off my own limb today..

after nearly five years of living, loving and depending on it.. it's gone by my own wish and now i feel empty.

i hope work will keep my mind off this missing piece to my life.

i hope i do not regret this decision in the future. sometimes i make decisions with my gut, other times with my head and sometimes with my heart.. i think this one came from parts of each over time and i hope it's what i really wanted, because right now i'm not so sure.

Watched Halloween (rob zombie) with max and lee lee, it was great. You know it's a real horror film when they show no mercy on the kids. This one wasn't corny/cheap like his last film, although it had it's fair share of plot holes.

The weather cooled down enough to sport a jacket at night, things are going really well with hacienda prints. Touring with chemical bros starting sept 20. Can't wait to see NYC, Chicago, Colorado and San Fran.. Perfect timing.

Bought a 2gb memory card for josh's camera today.. hope to be taking better photos soon.

Echo Park was over 100 degrees for the third day in a row today. It was an uncomfortable hot, the kind you'd like to run away from.. but end up surrendering to.

Despite the heat, www.dariustwin.com was updated today in the comfort of my air conditioned apartment. I have a feeling power bill will be particularly expensive.

Tonight a good friend visits from San Diego. I hope the heat doesn't effect me like it did today.. I must remember the wise words of a knowing individual:

"the universe has no mercy."
